Yes! As we have emphasised, we need all the help we can get, so we are very glad you are willing to join us! Are you a battle-hardened activist, or concerned citizen looking to participate in collective action through this referendum campaign, we need you to join our Team. Do you have absolutely zero experience in activism, let alone organising a referendum? Please don’t let that scare you off. We gladly have you with us and we are convinced that everyone can contribute to this massive effort. Everyone brings their own talents and knowledge to the table and that is exactly what we need. Maybe you already saw or thought of a task that suits your talents and interests, or maybe you are still trying to grasp the enormous project. A global list of tasks that need to be done will follow with which we would love your help, input or advise:
- recruiting volunteers to collect signatures
- writing text for the campaign
- translating texts (in multiple languages!)
- digitalising the mailing lists
- digital safety and website maintenance
- setting up a PR-campaign
- writing the initial request
- doing the research to determine what demands are under municipal jurisdiction and writing the demands
- setting up our campaign team for the referendum
- offer concrete ties between Amsterdam and the human rights violations in Palestine
